- 2x or 6x 2.5GbE LAN ports (with optional PoE)
- 2x DisplayPorts supporting up to 4K@60Hz
- Multiple internal expansion options (M.2, mPCIe, and full PCIe Gen 4 x16 or dual x8)
The Palladio 400 RPL supports internal expansion for:
- Up to 32 GB DDR4 RAM
- Storage:
- Up to 2x SATA 2.5" drives (hot-swappable optional)
- Up to 3x M.2 2280 SSDs (PCIe Gen 4 and SATA support).
- M.2, mPCIe, and full PCIe Gen 4 x16 (or dual x8) slots for additional modules like Wi-Fi/Bluetooth or AI accelerators.
Refer to the main user manual for detailed instructions on accessing internal components and installing modules/drives.
Physical Installation
DIN Rail Mounting
- Power off all sources.
- Align the device with the DIN rail and snap it securely into place.
- Connect the power terminal and lock it by turning clockwise.
Wall Mounting
- Power off before starting.
- Use four M4x0.5mm flat head screws to mount the unit using the optional wall mounting brackets.
- Connect power and external devices.
Connecting Peripherals and Power
- Display: Connect your monitor to one of the DisplayPort (DP) outputs. You may use an HDMI-to-DP adapter.
- Keyboard & Mouse: Connect your USB keyboard and mouse to any available USB 3.2 ports.
- Network: Connect an Ethernet cable to one of the 2.5GbE LAN ports for wired network access (PoE optional).
- SIM Card (if applicable): If you have an LTE module installed, insert your SIM card(s) into the appropriate slots.
- Power:
- Ensure the power supply is off.
- Wire your 12
48 VDC power source to the 5-pin terminal block, observing correct polarity. Use a 2048 VDC power source when configured with PCIe expansion 70W or above. - Connect the terminal block to the Palladio 400 RPL's power input connector. For DIN rail installations, ensure it is locked by turning clockwise.
First Boot & Software Environment
The Palladio 400 RPL typically comes preloaded with Clea OS, SECO’s secure Yocto Linux-based operating system optimized for containerized workloads (via Docker) and ready to connect to the Clea IoT Suite. Windows 10/11 IoT is also supported.
Powering On: Once all peripherals are connected and the power supply is securely attached, press the power button to turn on the Palladio 400 RPL.
If you need to install a different OS, access BIOS/UEFI by pressing [key] at startup, and ensure your bootable USB drive is set as the primary boot device.
If you are using Clea OS, it supports connecting to Clea out-of-the-box. To connect to Clea, please follow this guide.
